Angela Gheorghiu is set to open the Singureni Manor Polo Cup 2025.

The soprano will give a performance on Sept. 26, 2025. In a statement the tournament said “A true icon of the opera stage, Angela Gheorghiu has enchanted audiences across the globe with her extraordinary voice and artistry. And now, , she will perform at a sporting event — bringing her unmatched brilliance to the opening of Romania’s most refined polo tournament. This September, her presence will infuse the Singureni Manor Polo Cup with unforgettable elegance, cultural prestige, and a touch of timeless glamour.”

Recently Gheorghiu has performed in gala performances. She was one of the great sopranos of her generation and has performed at the Royal opera House, Teatro alla Scala, and Metropolitan Opera, among others.
