Angel Blue, Renée Fleming, Jennifer Rowley, Kelli O’Hara Headline Philadelphia Orchestra’s Winter / Spring 2022 Season

The Philadelphia Orchestra has announced the winter / spring portion of its 2021-22 season.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on operatic and vocal performances. For the fall season click here.

Angel Blue will perform Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” as well as the world premiere of a new song cycle by Valerie Colman. The concert will also include Florence Price’s Symphony No. 1 and Aucoin’s Suite from “Eurydice.” Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 3-5, 2022

Renée Fleming, Jennifer Johnson Cano, Kelli O’Hara, and Brett Poletago will headline the world premiere of the concert version of Kevin Puts’ “The Hours.” Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.

Performance Dates: March 18-20, 2022

The season comes to a close with a performance of Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis starring Jennifer Rowley, Karen Cargill, Rodrick Dixon, and Eric Owens. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts

Performance Dates: May 25 – June 1, 2022
