Pretty Yende & Davóne Tines Highlight Philadelphia Orchestra’s 2021 Fall Season

The Philadelphia Orchestra has announced the first part of its 2021-22 season featuring several vocal performances and marking the orchestra’s first live performances since the pandemic hit.

Here are the vocal highlights for the fall 2021 season.

Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts Laurin Talese and Aaron Diehl in a program of music by Johnson, Gershwin, Still, and Price.

Performance Date: Oct. 7-9, 2021

Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Pretty Yende team up for Holcomb’s Paradise and Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.

Performance Dates: Oct. 15-17, 2021

Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Davóne Tines take on music by John Adams, Igee Dieudonné and Davóne Tines, and Anthony Davis. The program also features Mozart’s Symphony No. 40.

Performance Dates: Nov. 5-7, 2021

Fire, Hope, and Truth will feature Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Davóne Tines in music by John Adams, Igee Dieudonné and Davóne Tines, and Anthony Davis. The program also features Mozart’s Symphony No. 25.

Performance Dates: Nov. 24 & Dec. 1, 2021

Julian Wachner conducts Handel‘s “Messiah” celebrating the holiday season.

Performance Dates: Dec. 22 & 23, 2021
