The Metropolitan Opera is set to launch its Summer HD Festival this August.

After a screening of Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” on August 26, the company will showcase “Porgy and Bess” starring Angel Blue and Eric Owens from 2020.

Performance Date: August 27, 2022

Next up is “Akhnaten” starring Anthony Roth Costanzo from 2019.

Performance Date: August 28, 2022

René Pape will then star in “Boris Godunov” from 2021.

Performance Date: August 29, 2022

Lise Davidsen and Brenda Rae headline a 2022 production of “Ariadne auf Naxos.”

Performance Date: August 30, 2022

Lisette Oropesa will then star in “Manon” from 2019.

Performance Date: August 31, 2022

That will be followed by a screening of the March 2019 production of “La Fille du Régiment” starring Pretty Yende and Javier Camarena.

Performance Date: Sept. 1, 2022 

Simon Stone’s new production of Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” will be the next to screen. This one starred Nadine Sierra and Javier Camarena.

Performance Date: Sept. 2, 2022 

That will be followed up by “Cinderella” starring Isabel Leonard.

Performance Date: Sept. 3, 2022 

Puccini’s “Turandot,” starring Liudmyla Monastyrska, is up next.

Performance Date: Sept. 4, 2022

The festival comes to a close with “Fire Shut Up in My Bones” starring Latonia Moore and Will Liverman.
