By David Salazar

Andrea Bocelli is set to perform a concert entitled “Music for Hope” on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, that will be streamed worldwide.

The event, which will take place at the historic Duomo in Milan, will be made possible in part through the hospitality of the Archpriest and the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo.

There will be no audience present, but those interested in watching the showcase will be able to do so via the tenor’s official YouTube channel. The concert kicks off at 1 p.m. ET. / 7 p.m. CET.

“I am happy Andrea has accepted our invitation,” said the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala in a press release. “This year, Easter will be very different for all of us. The joyous serenity that usually comes with this day, has been greatly troubled by the pandemic we are experiencing. I am sure that the extraordinary voice of Bocelli will be the embrace we are missing these days, a strong, special hug, capable of warming the heart of Milan, Italy and the world.”
