Ainhoa Arteta & Leo Nucci Highlight Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti’s 2019-20 Season

The Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti has announced its 2019-20 season.

Leo Nucci directs a new production of Puccini’s “La Bohème.” Matteo Desole stars as Rodolfo, while Aldo Sisillo conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 11 & 13, 2019 

Ainhoa Arteta stars in the title role of Puccini’s “Tosca” with  Matteo Beltrami conducting the masterpiece.

Performance Dates: Oct. 25-29, 2019

Verdi’s “Rigoletto” returns the repertoire in a new production by Fabio Sparvoli. Marco Caria stars in the title role with David Crescenzi conducting.

Performance Dates: Nov. 27-Dec. 1, 2019

Alberto Cara’s “La Notte di Natale” is set to be directed by Stefano Simone Pintor with Diego Ceretta conducting.

Performance Date: Dec. 15, 2019

Leonardo Lidi directs a new production of Verdi’s “Falstaff.” Luca Salsi stars in the title role with Jordi Bernàcer conducting.

Performance Dates: Feb. 14 & 16, 2020 

Puccini’s “Turandot” is set to star France Dariz in the title role with Valerio Galli conducting.

Performance Dates: March 13 & 15, 2020

Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande” will be directed by Marco Angius and Renaud Doucet conducting.

Performance Dates: April 3 & 5, 2020

“Crossopera” makes its world premiere with Gregor Horres directing and Mikica Jevtic conducting. The opera will star young interpreters of Crossopera project in Modena, Linz, and Novi Sad.

Performance Dates: May 8 & 10, 2020

Concerts 

Haydn’s “The Creation” will be conducted by Philippe Herreweghe with soloists Mari Eriksmoen, Patrick Grahl, and Florian Boesch.

Performance Date: Feb. 5, 2020
