Ailyn Perez, Tamara Wilson & Emily D’Angelo Headline Santa Fe Opera’s 2020 Season

The Santa Fe Opera has announced its highly anticipated 2020 season featuring a number of unique new productions, role debuts, and one world premiere.

Emily D’Angelo, Jack Swanson, and Audun Iverson highlight Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” with Corrado Rovaris conducting. Scott Conner and Kevin Burdette round out the cast.

Performance Dates: July 3-August 29, 2020

Eric Ferring. Joelle Harvey, Audrey Luna, Joshua Hopkins, and James Creswell star in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” with Harry Bicket conducting Tim Albery’s production.

Performance Dates: July 4-August 28, 2020

Tamara Wilson and Simon O’Neill star in Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde” with Ryan McKinney, Eric Owens, and David Leigh. James Gaffigan conducts the production by Zack Winokur.

Performance Dates: July18-August 18, 2020

Ailyn Perez makes her role debut in Dvorak’s “Rusalka” with Eric Cutler, James Creswell, Michaela Martens, and Alexandra Lobianco. Harry Bicket conducts David Pountney’s production.

Performance Dates: July 25-August 27, 2020

Huang Ruo and David Henry Hwang’s “M. Butterfly” gets its world premiere with a cast that includes Hera Hyesang Park, David Bizic, Kangmin Justin Kim, Kevin Burdette, and Joshua Dennis. Xian XZhang conducts the work with James Robinson directing the production.

Performance Dates: August 1-26, 2020

The season concludes with “Apprentice Scenes” which are fully-staged scenes from the operatic repertory showcasing the remarkable talent of Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Singers and Technicians.
