Ailyn Pérez, Javier Camarena, Isabel Leonard, Kristine Opolais Among Faculty of Vincerò Academy’s Inaugural Season

Vincerò Academy has announced its inaugural season which will feature training opportunities for artists on three major repertory staples.

Over the course of three months, participants will engage in weekly group classes, masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and individual coachings with a vast array of major artists including Ailyn Pérez, Brian Jagde, Carlos Conde, David Lomelí, Isabel Leonard, Javier Camarena, Jennifer Rowley, Kirsten Chambers, Kristine Opolais, Lucas Meachem, Luis Ledesma, and Mignon Dunn; music coaches Anthony Manoli, Bryan Wagorn, Danielle Orlando, Howard Watkins, Irina Meachem, and Jorge Parodi; and language coaches Elsa Querón, Stefano Baldasseroni, and Stefano de Peppo.

Participating artists will then receive a certificate upon completion of the program and, eventually, an Artist Diploma for the completion of any three programs.

“With its focus on the study of full roles with the top performers in the field, Vincerò’s program has been way overdue for many years,” Vincerò Academy founder Abdiel Vázquez told OperaWire. “This year though, the health crisis’ impact on the arts world has brought with it some silver linings, among them our newfound openness to online teaching and learning. This has made the creation of Vincerò possible at a time when the world needs the arts more than ever, and young singers all over the globe can use this hiatus on live performances to turn inwards – study, learn, and focus on what matters the most, the reason we became opera artists in the first place: music.”

The program kicks off on Dec. 1, 2020 through Feb. 28, 2021 with “Carmen” followed by “Don Giovanni” between Feb. 1 and April 30, 2021. The season concludes with “La Traviata” between April 1 through June 30th.

The Artistic Board for Vincerò Academy features founder Abdiel Vázquez, soprano Ailyn Pérez, tenor and opera executive David Lomelí, and conductor Enrique Diemecke, Artistic Director of Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.
