Soprano Aida Garifullina will appear on Good Morning America on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.

The Russian diva made the announcement via Instagram, noting that it would be the first time that she appears on American television.

“I’m excited to announce that I will be performing on Good Morning America on December 28th😍! My first US television show. So excited,” she wrote.”

This event, which is likely to increase her international profile, will cap a year that has been all about launching her to international stardom. The soprano not only announced that she would be launching her first ever cookbook, but she appeared in several concerts at the FIFA World Cup, including concerts before the opening match and final matches of the tournament. She also performed at the July 14 concert in Paris, and also made an appearance at the 120^th anniversary concert at the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Now, Garifullina is set to appear in “Don Giovanni” at the Metropolitan Opera at the end of January 2019. She is currently the most popular opera star on Instagram with well over 703,000 followers.
