The Accademia Verdiana has announced the 14 students for 2024.

The selected participants who were amongst 130 candidates are sopranos Zhadyra Abdullayeva, Giulia Costantini, Melissa D’Ottavi, Maria Kosovitsa, and Elzbieta Maria Warcaba, Yijia Zhong; mezzo-sopranos Arlene Miatto Albeldas and Qian Hui Sun; tenors Francesco Congiu and Seungho Lee; baritones Aibek Khairulla and Shi Yan; basses Agostino Subacchi and Yiduo Zhang.

The singers were selected after three days of auditions at the Teatro Regio di Parma with a jury that included Francesco Izzo, Alessio Vlad, Artistic Director of the Teatro Regio di Parma, Giannina Seccia, Teatro Regio di Parma, and Silvia Dalla Benetta.

This year the teachers for the program will be Vincenzo De Vivo (Artistic Director of Accademia di Osimo), Damiana Pinti (Scuola di Musica di Fiesole), and Annalisa Stroppa.

The students this year are from the ages of 25 to 33 and come from Italy, China, South Korea, Greece, Kazakhstan, and Poland. They will attend for free and will be beneficiaries of 1000 euros.
