Aaron Blake Headlines Recital With The George London Foundation

The George London Foundation has announced a recital set for April 24, 2022.

The showcase will be headlined by tenor Aaron Blake and pianist Ken Noda as the duo performs at The Morgan Library & Museum’s Gilder Lehrman Hall.

The program will open with music by Bellini and Donizetti before transitioning into a series of songs by Strauss and Tosti. A couple of Liszt songs will make way for the lone opera aria on the program, “Tombe degli avi miei” from Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” before the program heads into its final chapter with a series of songs by Gershwin, Copland, and Porter.

The recital kicks off at 4 p.m. EST.

Blake’s 2021-22 season has / will feature performances with Cincinnati Opera, the Israeli Opera, Opéra de Montréal, and the Metropolitan Opera where he will reprise the role of the High Priest of Amon in “Akhnaten.”
