Salzburg Whitsun Festival 2024 Announces ‘Tutto Mozart’ Program
By David SalazarCecilia Bartoli has announced the program for the 2024 Salzburg Whitsun Festival, which will be called “Tutto Mozart.”
The showcase will take place between May 17-20, 2024. Here is a rundown of the programming, with an emphasis on vocal showcases.
Robert Carsen will direct a production of “La Clemenza di Tito.” Gianluca Capuano conducts.

Next up is “Une Folle Journée,” a staged opera pasticcio featuring moments from the Da Ponte-Mozart trilogy. Davide Livermore directs.

Also on offer is the Mass in C Minor with Gianluca Capuano conducting the Musiciens du Prince – Monaco and I Canto di Orfeo.

Finally, the festival will celebrate Plácido Domingo with “50 Years of Domingo in Salzburg.” The concert, which will feature the Munich Radio Orchestra under Marco Armiliato, will showcase music from operas by Rossini, Bizet, Massenet, and Verdi, as well as numerous Zarzuelas. Domingo will perform alongside several Operalia prize winners.
