Paulo Szot & Amber Merritt to Be Featured in ‘United in Song: Celebrating The American Dream’

Nouveau Productions has announced the release of “UNITED IN SONG: CELEBRATING THE AMERICAN DREAM.”

The concert, which is set to air on Dec. 31, 2021 on PBS, PBS.org, and the PBS Video App, was filmed at Independence Hall in Philadelphia and celebrates the American dream and America’s irrepressible strength as we welcome the New Year.

Filmed in front of a live audience, the concert features performances from a wide array of genres including rising opera star Amber Merritt, and baritone Paulo Szot.

Other performers include Delbert Anderson,  David Archuleta, Latin pop singer Jencarlos Canela, Judy Collins, Deborah Cox, Drew Gehling, violinist Midori, Sandi Patty, Cassadee Pope, guitarist Pepe Romero, Lea Salonga, harpist Brandee Younger, and The American Pops Orchestra conducted by Luke Frazier.

Legendary Broadway star Chita Rivera hosts.

The program also presents a newly commissioned performance by The Washington Ballet, led by Artistic Director Julie Kent and choreographed by celebrated choreographer Jessica Lang.
