Maria Mot Launches MWA Management

By David Salazar

Maria Mot has launched a new agency called MWA Management.

The agency, which is created in collaboration with Intermusica, where Mot worked until October 2020, represents such artists as  Lise Davidsen, Erin Morley, Danielle De Niese, Irene Theorin, Angela Brower, and Leonardo Capalbo, among many others. Both organizations will share artists, but Mot will operate independently.

“We are going through uncertain times and I wanted to make sure I have full creative control whilst still enjoying the business support of Intermusica. “I am truly grateful to them and to my artists for agreeing to join me on this new path.” Mot, who comes from a family of aritsts, told OperaWire. “I have always been very passionate about finding talent and guiding it with care through the ups and downs of our industry. At the same time, I like to push the boundaries and find new creative ways in presenting the artists I represent. I like working in tandem with them, we are a creative partnership and I am always very interested in finding different, innovative and socially relevant platforms available to them.”

Mot’s career in artist management started in 2010 when she joined Universal Music. She then joined Intermusica in 2012.
