Opera Memphis has announced that in a precautionary move, it will be hosting its WKNO Live Broadcast preview for its upcoming production of “Così fan tutte” fully online.

The broadcast, which was set to feature a live audience on Thursday, March 12, 2020, will do without the live members with the preview still taking place over the airwaves and via livestream.

“However, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to move this Thursday’s WKNO FM preview event entirely online. Our good friends at WKNO will broadcast the event live on radio and on their website, meaning nobody needs to be deprived of this beautiful music (some of Mozart’s very best),” said Ned Canty, the company’s General Director and CEO, in a letter.

“Così fan tutte” opens on March 28 and will feature an additional performance on April 4, 2020. The opera will be conducted by Michael Sakir in a production by Ned Canty. The cast includes Darren K. Stokes, Jake Stamatis, Phlip Himebook, Sharin Apostolou, Tahanee Aluwihare, and Helen Hassinger.
