The American Opera Projects has announced that it will showcase an evening of six scenes from a number of upcoming operas on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29, 2018.

The program is part of the Composers & The Voice series. Per a press release, the performance will showcase scenes from such works as “Salt,” “Dark Exhalation,” Better Than It Sounds,” “State of The Jews,” “The Interaction Effect,” and “Spring.”

Performers will include Jennifer Goode Cooper, Mario Diaz-Moresco, Blake Friedman, Blythe Gaissert, Adrian Rosas, and Tookah Sapper. Mila Henry and Kelly Horsted will be the music directors with Mary Birnbaum and Matt Gray as the scene directors.

The composers are Matt Browne, Scott Ordway, Frances Pollock, Pamela Stein Lynde, Amber Vistein and Alex Weiser, and librettists Laura Barati, Kim Davies, and Sokunthary Svay.
