
GoDirect Artist Management Adds Director Rennier Piñeiro to Roster
By David SalazarGoDirect Artist Management has added Venezuelan stage director, actor and pedagogue Rennier Piñero to its roster of artists.
Since 2019, Piñeiro has served as artistic director and acting teacher at MOS Mexico Opera Studio, where he has staged productions including “Falstaff,” “Carmen,” “Cleopatra,” “L’Enfant et les Sortilèges,” “Manon,” “La hija de Rappaccini” by Daniel Catán, “Anita,” “Les Bastianes,” “Madama Butterfly,” “I Capuleti e i Montecchi,” “La misa de seis,” “Don Giovanni,” “The Telephone” and “Faust,” among others.
In 2025, Piñero directed “La Légende de Rudel” by Ricardo Castro for the Compañía Nacional de Ópera at Ópera de Bellas Artes, presented in the Sala Principal of the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. That year he also directed “Gianni Schicchi” and the contemporary Mexican opera “Paso del Norte” by Víctor Rasgado.
Piñero has also staged large format productions for Mexican festivals, including “Aida” for the Festival Internacional de las Culturas de Atizapán de Zaragoza, produced with the Centro Cultural Olivia Gorra, and “Pagliacci” for the Festival Internacional Fiestas del Pitic.
In Spain, he directed “Il barbiere di Siviglia” and “La scala di seta” for the Asociación de Amigos de la Ópera de Aranjuez.
Piñero’s background also includes cultural management, music production and choral activity in Spain and Venezuela.
