Károly Szemerédy Joins Harrison Parrott for Worldwide General Management

Hungarian bass-baritone Károly Szemerédy has joined Harrison Parrott for worldwide general management.

The bass-baritone has performed at Madrid’s Teatro Real, Paris Opera, Grand Théâtre de Genève, and Budapest’s Hungarian State Opera, among other houses.

Szemerédy has built a diverse body of repertoire experience including “Bluebeard’s Castle,” “Tosca,” “Rusalka,” “Salome,” “The Makropulos Affair,” “Il tabarro,” and “Elektra” among many others.

This season he is set to perform From the House of the Dead” at the Janáček Festival Brno and at the Hungarian State Opera, where Szemerédy is a resident artist.

The bass-baritone is has been awarded the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit in 2023 in recognition of his dedication to the promotion of Hungarian music and culture.
