Louise Alder, Danielle de Niese, Rihab Chaieb, Levy Sekgapane, Yaritza Véliz & Atalla Ayan Lead Glyndebourne Festival’s 2027 Season

The Glyndebourne Festival has announced its 2027 season.

New Productions 

Mozart’s “Idomeneo” will be directed by Stephen Langridge and conducted by Robin Ticciati. The cast includes Ian Koziara as Idomeneo, Deepa Johnny as Idamante, Katharina Konradi as Ilia, and Golda Schultz as Elettra.

Performance Dates: May 20-July 14, 2027


Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” will be directed by Max Webster and conducted by Enrique Mazzola. The cast will include Svetlina Stoyanova as Angelina, Levy Sekgapane as Don Ramiro, Mikhail Timoshenko as Dandini, Marco Filippo Romano as Don Magnifico and Michael Mofidian as Alidoro.

Performance Dates: June 13 – August 20, 2027


Janáček’s “Jenůfa” will be directed by Yaël Farber. Robin Ticciati conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the work will star Yaritza Véliz as Jenůfa, Tanja Ariane Baumgartner as Kostelnička, Jamez McCorkle as Laca and Oleksiy Palchykov as Števa.

Performance Dates: July 18 August 18, 2027


Revivals

Bizet’s “Carmen” will be conducted by Ben Glassberg  and will star Danielle de Niese and Rihab Chaieb as Carmen, Atalla Ayan as Don José and Elsa Benoit and Vuvu Mpofu as Micaëla.

Performance Dates: May 21 – June 30, 2027 & August 11 – 29, 2027


Verdi’s “La traviata” will star Louise Alder and Elisa Verzier as Violetta, Amitai Pati and Julien Dran as Alfredo, Ricardo José Rivera and Audun Iversen as Giorgio Germont. Riccardo Frizza conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Performance Dates: June 27-August 28, 2027
