
Diana Damrau & Gerald Finley Headline First Half of Philharmonia Orchestra’s 2026-27 Season

The Philharmonia Orchestra has announced the first half of its 2026-27 London season at the Southbank Centre.
Marin Alsop conducts the London premiere of Julia Wolfe’s “Fire in my Mouth,” a multimedia elegy for the 146 victims of New York’s 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, drawing on choral writing, folk song and industrial noise.
Performance Date: Sept. 22, 2026
Bass-Baritone Gerald Finley and Soprano Diana Damrau join the Orchestra for Brahms’s “A German Requiem,” preceded by a group of Richard Strauss songs performed by Damrau, including “Mondscheinmusik” from “Capriccio.”
Performance Date: Nov. 29, 2026
