Vancouver-based Chor Leoni will present its annual holiday celebration, “Christmas with Chor Leoni,” this December.

The 2025 edition features four world premieres—two original commissions and two new arrangements— including Ken Cormier’s arrangement of Stevens’ “Angels We Have Heard On High,” Marie-Claire Saindon’s “Jubilo,” and Saina Khaledi’s “My Beloved,” a Persian solstice song inspired by Yalda traditions.

The program also includes carols and holiday favorites such as “Ding Dong Merrily on High,” “Deck the Halls,” “Silent Night,” and contemporary interpretations by Tori Amos and Sufjan Stevens.

Guest artists for the series include pianists Karen Lee-Morang and Tina Chang, harpist Vivian Chen, violinist Cameron Wilson, guitarist Keith Sinclair, and santour player Saina Khaledi.

“There is a reason Christmas with Chor Leoni is one of Vancouver’s most popular Christmas concerts year after year,” said Artistic Director Erick Lichte, per an official press release. “We aim to entertain and inspire, sending audiences into the season with hope, light, and a renewed sense of purpose.”

Performances are slated for Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Dec. 20 at 2 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United.
