Toledo Opera Announces ‘OPERAtunity Day’

By David Salazar

Toledo Opera will present its annual “OPERAtunity Day” on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025.

The event concludes that evening with “Triviata Night” at Toledo Spirits, featuring a general-knowledge trivia competition with an operatic twist.

With only 18 percent of Toledo Opera’s annual budget derived from ticket sales, OPERAtunity Day encourages community members to be a part of supporting such key initiatives as “Opera on Wheels,” the Toledo Opera Chorus, and the company’s education and outreach programs.

“OPERAtunity Day is a reminder of how deeply this community values the arts, especially in a moment when nonprofits everywhere are facing real challenges,” said General Director James M. Norman, per an official press release. “When you give—whether it’s a little or a lot—you help ensure that Toledo Opera can continue to share the music, storytelling, and human connection with audiences across our region.”

“Triviata Night” will be hosted by Norman and Artistic Director Kevin Bylsma. Doors open at 6 p.m. p.m., and the game begins at 6:30 p.m.
