Cast Change: Alexandra Nowakowski to Make Met Opera Debut, Replace Nadine Sierra in ‘La Sonnambula’ Performance

The Metropolitan Opera has announced another cast change for its Oct. 14, 2025, performance of “La Sonnambula.”

The company said that Alexandra Nowakowski will perform the role of Amina, replacing Nadine Sierra, who is ill.

This marks Nowakowski’s Metropolitan Opera debut. Earlier in the day, the company announced that Lawrence Brownlee would sing as Elvino, after having performed the role on Oct. 11.

Sierra and Anduaga are set to return to the production on Oct. 18, 2025 for the HD performance. “La Sonnambula” also stars Alexander Vinogradov, and Sydney Mancasola and is conducted by Riccardo Frizza.
