Works & Process presents “Up Until Now Collective’s Fellow Travelers,” by composer Gregory Spears and librettist Greg Pierce.

The event will be held on Oct. 19, 2025, and will feature Kevin Newbury, Jecca Barry Barry, and opera company leaders who will participate in a moderated discussion exploring collaboration and new production models. Cast members will perform highlights from the opera.

The event will be held in celebration of the opera’s 10th anniversary and the tour that will be held in 2026–27 at the Seattle Opera, Portland Opera, San Diego Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, Austin Opera, and others to be announced.

“Fellow Travelers” is based on Thomas Mallon’s best-selling 2007 novel and was created by composer Gregory Spears, librettist Greg Pierce, and director Kevin Newbury. “Fellow Travelers” premiered at Cincinnati Opera in 2016.
