Chanticleer Unveils 2025-26 Season

Chanticleer is set to kick off its 2025-26 season with a U.S. tour in honor of the country’s 250th year of independence.

The ensemble kicks off the season with “Our American Journey,” which tours through Berkley, Sacramento, Mill Valley, Santa Clara, St. Louis, San Francisco, Dubuque, South Bend, New York, Wilmington, Raleigh, Atlanta, Greenville, and Fairhope. The program will include a new commission from Trevor Weston and features a wide range of works by such composers as Berlin, Twining, Randall Thompson, Brent Michael Davids, and William Billings, among others.

Tour Dates: Sept. 20 – Oct. 30, 2025


Next up is “A Chanticleer Christmas,” which heads to Fairfax, Charlottesville, Bloomsburg, New York, Newark, Chicago, Stanford, Oakland, Mill Valley, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Petaluma, Sacramento, San Francisco, Carmel, and Santa Clara.

Tour Dates: Nov. 29 – Dec. 23, 2025


The comes a European Tour in Austria (Feldkirch and Vienna) and Germany (Stuttgart and Dortmund). There will be additional dates that have yet to be added.

Tour Dates: Jan. 24 – 30, 2026


“Our American Journey” returns in the Spring with performances in Valparaiso, Grand Rapids, Toronto, Deep River, Portland, New York, Houston, Lodi, La Jolla, and Bend.

Tour Dates: Feb. 26 – May 10, 2026


“I Left My Heart in San Francisco” takes the ensemble to Sacramento, Berkeley, Mill Valley, and Palo Alto. This program features works by Bay Area composers such as Darius Milhaud, Michael Tilson Thomas, Mason Bates, Bobby McFerrin, and the Grateful Dead.

Tour Dates: March 22 – 28, 2026


“MACHAUT: La Messe de Notre Dame” will be performed at Trinity Church in New York City.

Tour Dates: April 22, 2026


The season ends with “American Early Music” in Sacramento, Berkeley, Mill Valley, and Santa Clara. The program includes works by Juan de Lienas as well as arrangements of music from the Ephrata Cloister, including examples of some of America’s earliest documented female composers.

Tour Dates: May 31 – June 7, 2026


The ensemble will also embark on another European tour with dates and programs to be announced at a later time.
