Teatro alla Scala Launches New Streaming Platform

The Teatro alla Scala has announced LaScala.tv.

The new streaming platform will launch on Feb. 14 with a performance of “I Vespri Siciliani” conducted by Fabio Luisi and directed by Hugo de Ana. The performance will star Marina Rebeka, Piero Pretti, Luca Michieletti, and Dmitry Beloselskiy.

LaScala.tv will be a new platform where audiences will be able to see performances from the past and will be able to give global audiences a way to see performances from La Scala. The platform will showcase operas, ballets and concerts from the season and will be recorded by nine cameras. Audiences will also get a backstage pass with interviews from cast members and directors by Mario Acampa.

More details about the new platform will be announced on Feb. 9 at a press conference and tickets for the streaming platform will be available.
