(Credit: Villazon Official Website) The tenor has proven his versatility in a number of areas outside of the stage.

Rolando Villazon has launched a new podcast entitled “Les jongleries de Rolando Villazón!” on Saturday, August 5 on France Musique.

The podcast will center around a theme of Villazon’s choice as he shares some of his favorite memories and anecdotes from his and other musicians’ experiences.

The four-episode podcast will launch every Saturday this month and you can listen to it here.

Villazon has been busy this season as he is ready to launch a new CD entitled “Duets” with Ildar Abdrazakov and will be at the Salzburg Festival performing Handel’s “Ariodante” alongside Cecilia Bartoli. Next season he makes his role debut as Pelléas in “Pelléas et Melisande” at the Berlin Staatsoper and directs a new production of “Die Fledermaus.” He also sets on tour with Abdrazakov and continues his Mozart discovery as Papageno in “Die Zauberflöte”  at the Baden Baden Festival.
