Roberto Alagna is set to star in the double bill of “Pagliacci” and “Cavalleria Rusticana” at the Gran Theatre del Liceu in 2019.

Sony Classical announced the news with the tenor’s upcoming album “Puccini in Love.” The press release also noted that Aleksandra Kurzak will star in the double bill and the dates are slated for Dec. 5, 9, 13 and 18, 2019.

Alagna has had a busy year headlining numerous productions including a new “Samson et Dalila” at the Wiener Staatsoper and numerous revivals in Paris, Vienna and New York. This season, he opens the Metropolitan Opera with another new production of “Samson et Dalila” and also reprises his acclaimed Don José in “Carmen.”

The tenor’s new album “Puccini in Love” is set for release on Oct. 26, 2018, and will include duets from “La Fanciulla del West,” “Il Tabarro,” “Tosca,” “Madama Butterfly,” “La Bohème,” “La Rondine” and “Manon Lescaut.”
