Olga Kulchynska Replaces Pretty Yende At Munich Opera Festival

Olga Kulchynska has replaced Pretty Yende for the Bayerische Staatsoper’s upcoming festival.

Yende, who was originally scheduled to perform Adina in ‘L’Elisir d’Amore,” canceled the single performance, which is scheduled to star Vittorio Grigolo and Ambrogio Maestri.

Kulchynska is a regular of the Bayerische Staatsoper, who is set to perform next season with the company in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and will also sing “The Pearl Fishers” at the Liceu and Opernhaus Zurich.

Yende returns to the Rossini Opera Festival for her role debut as Zoraide in Rossini’s rarely performed “Ricciardo e Zoraide” along Juan Diego Flórez. She also returns to the Metropolitan Opera for “The Pearl Fishers” and “La Fille du Regiment.” She also returns to the Opéra National de Paris for her role debut in Verdi’s “La Traviata.”

‘L’Elisir d’Amore” at the Bayerische Staatsoper is scheduled for July 6, 2018.
