LA Opera Announces Date Change for Plácido Domingo’s ‘El Gato Montés’

The Los Angeles Opera has announced a date change for its hotly anticipated production of “El Gato Montés” for the 2018-19 season.

The work was originally scheduled to start its run on April 27, 2019, but will now commence on May 4, 2019.

The other performances of the run will remain the same; they are still set to take place on May 5, 8, 11, 16, and 19.

The production will star Plácido Domingo, Ana María Marinez, and Arturo Chacón-Cruz. Jordi Bernàcer will conduct while José Carlos Plaza will direct the opera.

Among the other major highlights of the 2018-19 season will be “Satyagraha,” “Hansel and Gretel,” “La Traviata,” “La Clemenza di Tito,” “Don Carlo,” and a number of other productions that will be showcased off the mainstage.
