Decca / Josef Gallauer

On Dec. 20, 2017, tenor Juan Diego Flórez and Sir Antonio Pappano will team up for a concert with the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia.

The concert will be live streamed on Medici.tv and will include music of Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, Puccini, Rossini, and Offenbach. There will be music from such operas as “Roberto Devereux,” Guillaume Tell,” “The Tales of Hoffman,” “La Boheme” and “I Lombardi.”

The performance is presented as the orchestra’s Christmas Concert and is geared to showcase Flórez’s diverse repertoire. It is presented courtesy of the Academia Nazionale Santa Cecilia and Sony Classical and is scheduled to begin at 1:30 CST.

Florez continues on tour through the month of December and in January he heads to Monte Carlo for his role debut as Hoffmann in “Les Contes d’Hoffmann.” He makes a stop at the Teatro alla Scala before heading to the Bayerische Staatsoper in April and May for “Lucrezia Borgia” and “Lucia di Lammermoor.”
