Juan Diego Flórez & Belén Alonso To Be Featured With Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León 2018-19 Season

The Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León has announced its 2018-19 season, featuring a number of symphonic concerts and some the world’s greatest opera singers.

For this season announcement, we will only focus on the vocal highlights.

Performances

The season opens with Katherine Broderick performing “Porgi Amor” from Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Strauss’ “Four Last Songs.” Andrew Gourlay conducts the concert, which also includes the overture from Mozart’s “The Abduction from the Seraglio” and Strauss’ “Ein Heldenleben.”

Performance Dates: Oct 4. & 5, 2018

Juan Diego Flórez sings a Gala Lírica featuring some of his favorite operatic arias.

Performance Dates: May 10, 2019

Soprano Belén Alonso stars in Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, conducted Eliahu Inbal. The concert also include Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Ivo Pogorelich.

Performance Dates: May 16 & 17, 2019

Sara Fox, Kathryn Rudge, Ben Johnson, and Mark Stone perform in a concert that includes music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst, and Hubert Parry.

Performance Dates: June 20 & 21, 2019
