Korean audiences are in for a star-studded fall with some of the worlds reigning divas gracing their stages.
World-renowned sopranos Anna Netrebko, Angela Gheorghiu, Diana Damrau and Lise Lindstrom are set to grace the stage of Seoul.
The star-studded season begins on Oct. 9, 2017, with Anna Netrebko and her husband Yusif Eyvazov. Their program, while unknown, is sure to light up the stage with their indelible chemistry.
Then on Nov. 17, Angela Gheorghiu will participate in an anniversary concert honoring the 10th anniversary of tenor Luciano Pavarotti’s death in Seoul, featuring Korean soprano Shin Young-ok and baritone Ko Seng-hyoun.
Diana Damrau will follow with a concert on Nov. 21, 2017, featuring music from “La Traviata,” “Romeo et Juliette,” and “I Puritani.”
The Diva marathon will conclude on Dec. 9, 2017, with Lise Lindstrom in her first appearance in Korea. Lindstrom will perform a concert version of Puccini’s “Turandot,” her signature role.
