Zubin Mehta, Eva Mei Headline IDAGIO’s Global Concert Hall Schedule

Online music platform IDAGIO has announced the full schedule for its Global Concert Hall.

For this article, our focus will be on opera-related performances. To this point, the company has only announced concerts scheduled up until July 7, though there are events set to take place through August and beyond.

It all starts with Zubin Mehta leading the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in a concert performance of Mozart’s Motet “Exsultate, jubilate” KV 165, his Motet “Ave Verum Corpus” KV 618, and his “Coronation Mass” with such soloists as Eva Mei, Francesca Cucuzza, Valentino Buzza, and Gianluca Buratto. The concert also features Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony.

Daniele Gatti leads the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Florentino in a concert that features the Act three ballet from Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice.” The performance also features two symphonies by Haydn.

Zubin Mehta leads the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Florentino in a concert featuring two pieces by Schubert flanking Berg’s “Drei Bruchstücke aus ‘Wozzeck’” for Voice and Orchestra.

Streaming Date: July 3, 2020

The current schedule closes out with Haydn’s “Missa in Tempore Belli in C major Hob. XXII:9.” Zubin Mehta conducts the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Florentino in a concert that also features Schubert’s sixth symphony.
