
YPC National Announces Summer Choral Workshops in NYC
By David SalazarYPC National, which is modeled after the Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPCNYC), is set to present a series of summer choral workshops in New York City from July 9-12, 2025.
The workshops include such programs as “YPC National Lab: Summer Choral Intensive” and the “YPC National Studio: Choral Conducting Workshop” offered by, among others, MacArthur Fellow and YPC Founder Francisco J. Núñez, Grammy Award-winner Chandrika Tandon, YPC Creative Director Elizabeth Núñez, and leading YPC educators.
“Music has the extraordinary power to unite and inspire,” said Francisco J. Núñez, per an official prss release. “At YPC National, we’re creating space for young artists and educators to come together, elevate their artistry, and return to their communities ready to make an impact.”
The Workshops will kick off with a performance of “Limitless” in Damrosch Park as part of the Lincoln Centers “Summer for the City” series. that performance is set to take place on July 9, 2025.
The “Summer Choral Intensive is for students ages 8-18, who will collaborate with members of the YPCNYC. The “Choral Conducting Workshop” is designed for choral educators, conductors, and university-level music students.
