Young Concert Artists Announces 2021-22 Season

The Young Concert Artists have announced their 2021-22 season.

Performances are set to take place in New York and Washington D.C., including a gala concert at Carnegie Hall and closing night performance at The Kennedy Center.

“After a challenging and transformative year, we can’t wait to welcome audiences back to the concert hall in our ‘21-22 Season. We look to the future of our artform, and remain as dedicated as ever to launching the careers of our great YCA artists,” said Daniel Kellogg, President of YCA, in a press statement.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal performances.

It all kicks off with the 2021 YCA International Auditions Final Round and Winners Concert.

Performance Date: Oct. 31 & Nov. 1, 2021

Bass-baritone William Socolof and pianist Gracie Francis will take on music by Ibert, Schubert, Villareal, Debussy, Engel, and Mahler, among others.

Performance Date: Dec. 1 (D.C.) & 9 (NYC), 2021

Mezzo-soprano Megan Moore will team up with pianist Francesco Barfoed for a showcase featuring music by Moore, Chaminade, Schubert, and Händel.

Performance Date: April 11 (D.C.) & 20 (NYC), 2022

The final gala showcase will feature Moore and Socolof among other artists as they perform music by Händel, Barber, Stravinsky, Balch, and Banks.

Performance Date: May 6, 2022 (NYC)
