Young Audiences New York to Honor Denyce Graves-Montgomery

By David Salazar

Young Audiences New York will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a special gala on March 1, 2022.

The event will honor three leaders who represent excellence in business and the arts. Among those honorees is legendary mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves-Montgomery. Graves has enjoyed an extensive international career and is best-known for her turns as Dalila and Carmen in Saint-Saëns and Bizet’s noted operas, respectively. Most recently, she appeared at the Met Opera in “Porgy and Bess” and in May of 2022 she is set to join the Atlanta Symphony for “Aida.” She is also a faculty artist at Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute.

Other honorees include Maureen Bosetti, Chief Partnership Officer at Initiative, and Kirk McDonald, Chief Executive Officer North America, at GroupM.

The event will be hosted by Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner Richard Thomas.

Young Audiences New York supports and enriches the lives of young people from some of New York City’s most under-resourced communities.
