Yolanda Auyanet, Marigona Qerkezi, Vanessa Goikoetxea, Arturo Chacón-Cruz & Berna Perles Lead Ópera de Oviedo’s 2026-27 Season

The Ópera de Oviedo has announced its 2026-27 season.

The season opens with Mahler’s “Sorrow” and Puccini’s “Suor Angelica” in a double bill.The productions stars Ana Ibarra, Anna Tobella, María Heres, Marina Pardo, Montserrat Serós, Ana Cabrera, and Andrea Jiménez. Diego Martin-Etxebarria conducts the production by Joan Anton Rechi.

Performance Dates: Sept. 11-16, 2026


Donizetti’s “Maria Stuarda” will star Yolanda Auyanet, Paola Gardina, Jihoon Son, David Lagares, and Carlos Daza. Friedrich Haider conducts the productions by Emilio López.

Performance Dates: Oct. 9-17, 2026


Verdi’s “Macbeth” will star Juan Jesús Rodríguez in the title role and Marigona Qerkezi as Lady Macbeth. The cast is rounded out by Gianfranco Montresor and Alejandro del Cerro. Clelia Cafiero conducts the production by Paco López.

A second cast includes Jorge Nelson Martínez, Paulina Bielarczyk, Alejandro Baliñas, and Francisco Cruz.

Performance Dates: Nov. 13-21, 2026


Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut” will star Vanessa Goikoetxea, Arturo Chacón-Cruz, Manel Esteve, and Abraham García. Nuno Coelho conducts the production by Emiliano Suárez.

Rebecca Gulinello, Joan Laínez, and Guillem Batllori highlight a second cast.

Performance Dates: Dec. 11-19, 2026


The season closes with Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” with Berna Perles, Andrea Niño, Natalia Labourdette, Christian Pursell, Filip Filipović, and David Menéndez. Lucas Macías conducts the production by Marta Eguilior.

A second cast Lada Bočková, Paola Leguizamón, Eleonora Deveze, Yiorgo Ioannou, Angle Gou, and Javier Blanco.

Performance Dates: Jan. 29-Feb. 6, 2027
