Yiorgo Ioannou Joins Roster of TACT Artist Management

By Francisco Salazar

Baritone Yiorgo Ioannou has joined the roster the TACT Artist Management for worldwide representation.

He will be represented by Sofia Rukin and Zarina Khazrat.

Ioannou has performed at the  Teatro Regio di Torino, Opéra National de Paris, Opéra de Dijon, Opéra Bastille, Lincoln Center in New York, Musikverein Wien, and Opera Oviedo.

This summer, he is set to perform at the Athenaeum Summer Festival 2025 in the Bucharest Enescu Festival as well as with the Orquesta de Castilla y Leon, and 25 Jahre Elblandfestspiele Wittenberge – Openair Gala.

Of his work, OperaWire has raved, stating, Certainly, the singer who was in all respects most comfortable in his role was Yiorgo Ioannou as the charmingly inconvenient Germano. His voice suited Rossini’s musicality well. His biggest achievement, however, was to understand how much of Rossini’s comedy works: in order to make the comedy happen, the singers must be extremely serious in their struggles. Ioannou made his Germano extremely pathetic. Even in his unflattering wig he managed to find some joy. It was not without surprise that, at the end of the night, he got the most welcoming—and last—curtain call.
