Yannick Nézet-Séguin & Pretty Yende Lead Philadelphia Orchestra’s 2022-23 Season

The Philadelphia Orchestra has announced its 2022-23 season.

Here is a look at the vocal performances for the season.

Nathalie Stutzmann conducts the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir in Purrington Words for Departure, Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night, and Mozart’s Requiem.

Performance Dates: Oct. 20-23, 2022

Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Pretty Yende in Xi Ensō’s world premiere, Haydn Cello Concerto in D major, and Mahler Symphony No. 4

Performance Dates: Dec. 8-10, 2022

Joe Miller conducts Händel’s Messiah.

Performance Dates: Dec. 15 & 16, 2022

Bramwell Tovey conducts the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia in a concert entitled The Glorious Sound of Christmas.

Performance Dates: Dec. 21-23, 2022

Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Crossing team up for J.L. Adams’ “Vespers of the Blessed Earth” and Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.”

Performance Dates: March 30-April 2, 2023

Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Philadelphia Symphonic Choir will perform Bruckner “Christus factus est,” Bruckner’s Symphony No. 9 and Bruckner’s “Te Deum.”

Performance Dates: May 5 & 6, 2023
