
Yakima Symphony Orchestra Announces ‘Holiday Pops Spectacular’
By David SalazarThe Yakima Symphony Orchestra will present its annual “Holiday Pops Spectacular” on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 at the Capitol Theatre in Yakima, Washington.
The showcase will be conducted by Music Director and conductor Lawrence Golan in a program also featuring the Yakima Symphony Chorus under Steven S. Slusher and the Yakima School of Ballet directed by Lisa Price.
The concert includes Tiomkin’s Suite from “It’s a Wonderful Life,” selections from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker (arr. Golan),” Händel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from “Messiah,” and traditional works such as The Many Moods of Christmas Suite No. 3, “Chanukah Festival Overture,” “Christmas Singalong,” and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.” Additional highlights include Chadwick’s “Noël” from “Symphonic Sketches” and Wendel’s “Caribbean Sleigh Ride.”
The concert kicks off at at 4:00 p.m. and is followed by a free Post-Concert Reception that commences at 5:30 p.m. in the Robertson Room at the Capitol Theatre. Audience members will not only get an opportunity to enjoy light refreshments, hot chocolate, and a cash bar, but they will also meet the Music Director and artists before the 2025 Holiday Lighted Parade at 6:00 p.m.
