The Teatro La Fenice has announced that it will present its annual New Year’s Eve celebration to a virtual audience.

This year, the gala will be conducted by Daniel Harding and will star soloists Rosa Feola and Xabier Anduaga. The performance will feature music by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Offenbach, Gounod, and Mascagni from the operas “Nabucco,” “Cavalleria Rusticana,” “La Traviata,” “Romeo et Juliette,” “Il Trovatore,” “La Fille du Regiment,” and “La Clemenza di Tito.” Additionally, Harding will conduct Beethoven’s Symphony. No. 4.

Feola recently performed at the Teatro alla Scala’s opening night gala while Anduaga appeared in a production of “Cosi fan tutte” and is headlining a Christmas gala in Spain.

Rai Uno will produce the gala and will broadcast it on Jan. 1 at 11:15 European time.
