Xabier Anduaga, Nadine Sierra & Ian Bostridge Highlight Festival de Granada’s 2020 Edition

The 69th Annual Granada Festival has announced its summer season program.

The Spanish festival announced that it was moving forward and for this article we will focus mainly on the vocal performances.

Nadine Sierra, Carlos Mena, Xabier Anduaga, and Carlos Álvarez highlight opening night performing Mozart’s Requiem under the baton of Andrea Marcon.

Performance Date: June 25, 2020

Raquel Lojendio, Cristina Faus, Gustavo Peña, and David Menéndez perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Miguel Ángel Gómez-Martínez conducts at the Palacio de Carlos.

Performance Dates: July 9 & 10, 2020

Ian Bostridge and Igor Levit will perform Schubert’s “Winterreise.”

Performance Date: July 22, 2020

Verdi’s “Aida” will be projected via a production from the Teatro Real with a cast that includes Soloman Howard, Violeta Urmana, Liudmyla Monastyrska, Gregory Kunde, Roberto Tagliavini, and George Gagnidze. 

Performance Date: July 9, 2020

Pilar Alva Martín and Héctor Eliel Márquez perform a recital with music by Juan-Alfonso García and Valentín Ruiz-Aznar. The recital will be performed from the Hospital Real.
