Works & Process to Preview ‘Lincoln in the Bardo’

Works & Process is set to present a moderated discussion and performance highlights of Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek’s “Lincoln in the Bardo” from the Metropolitan Opera.

The event will take place on Oct. 5, 2026 at the Peter B. Lewis Theater, 1071 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY in advance of the world premiere of “Lincoln in the Bardo.” Audiences will get a look into the creative process of the opera with Metropolitan Opera general manager Peter Gelb moderating a discussion featuring composer Mazzoli and librettist Vavrek as they expound on adapting George Saunders’s Booker Prize–winning novel.

The evening will also feature the production’s all-star cast performing highlights from the score.

“Lincoln in the Bardo” opens on October. 19 and runs through Nov. 14, 2026.
