Works & Process to Present ‘Washington National Opera: Turandot’

Works & Process is set to present “Washington National Opera: Turandot” on Feb. 25, 2024 at 7 p.m. at Guggenheim’s Peter B. Lewis Theater in New York City.

The event will provide an introduction for Washington National Opera’s new production of the Puccini classic with a new ending by composer Christopher Tin and playwright and screenwriter Susan Soon He Stanton.

Audiences will hear from Washington National Opera Artistic Director Francesca Zambello as well as Soon He Stanton and Tin to discuss the making of this new version of the operatic staple and how it refocuses the story for current times.

The event will feature highlights performed by singers TBD.

“Turandot” opens at the Washington National Opera in May 2024 with a cast headlined by Ewa Plonka and Marjorie Owens in the title role.
