Works & Process at the Guggenheim to Preview Met Opera’s ‘Medea’

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is set to present a preview of the Met Opera’s upcoming production of “Medea” on Sept. 19, 2022.

The event will feature soprano Sondra Radvanovsky, director David McVicar, conductor Carlo Rizzi, tenor Matthew Polenzani, soprano Janai Brugger, and pianist Howard Watkins in a panel discussion that will be moderated by Met Opera General Manager Peter Gelb.

The event kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

“Medea” opens on Sept. 27, 2022 and runs through Oct. 28, 2022 for a total of eight performances. There will be an HD broadcast on Oct. 22, 2022. Other cast members for the opera include Ekaterina Gubanova and Michele Pertusi.

The Met’s season will also open with such operas as “Idomeneo,” “Lady Macbeth of Mstensk,” “Tosca,” “La Traviata,” and “Peter Grimes.”
