Wolf Trap Unveils 2023 Lineup

First up is “A Night at the Opera.” The event features the Wolf Trap Studio Artists.
Performance Date: June 3, 2023
Pianist Steven Blier headlines a program of works by Weill, Porter, Ives, Mitchell, and more with such singers as Véronique Filloux, Mary Beth Nelson, Daniel Rich, William Clay Thompson, and Marco Rizzello.
Performance Date: June 4, 2023
Timothy Long conducts a production of “Semele” by Tara Faircloth. The opera stars Esther Tonea in the title role alongside Véronique Filloux, Emily Treigle, Kathleen Felty, Lunga Eric Hallam, Samuel Krausz, and Eric Lindsey.
Performance Date: June 23 – July 1, 2023
Soprano Tiffany Townsend joins the National Orchestral Institute + Festival for a performance of Walker’s “Lilacs.”
Performance Date: June 24, 2023
The audience gets to choose what gets performed at “Aria Jukebox.”It will feature such artists as Brittany Logan, Véronique Filloux, Emily Triegle, Esther Tonea, Mary Beth Nelson, Lunga Eric Hallam, Eric Taylor, William Clay Thompson, Eric Lindsey, and Kyle White.

The company will also feature a “Salon Series” featuring Filene Artists.
Performance Date: July 7 – 28, 2023
Alison Moritz will direct Gounod’s “Faust.” Geoffrey McDonald conducts a cast starring Eric Taylor, Brittany Logan, Mary BethNelson, Kyle White, William Clay Thompson, and Kathleen Felty.
Performance Date: July 21 – 27, 2023
Studio Artists will get their own program of opera scenes and highlights.
Performance Date: August 8, 2023
The season ends with “Don Giovanni” as directed by John de los Santos and conducted by Stephanie Rhodes Russell. The opera stars Cory McGee, Eric Lindsey, Renée Richardson, Lunga Eric Hallam, Tiffany Townsend, Andre Gilstrap, Denis Vélez, and Daniel Rich.
