William Davenport & Hanna Brammer Among Stars of Sarasota Opera 2019-20 Season

The Sarasota Opera has unveiled the full lineup for its 2019-20 season.

The first opera on the slate is Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” which will feature Marco Nisticò in the title role, William Davenport, Hanna Brammer, Young Bok Kim, and Annie Chester. Victor DeRenzi conducts the production by Stephanie Sundine.

Performance Dates: Nov. 1-17, 2019

Hans Krása’s “Brundibár” is the next opera on the slate, featuring members from the Sarasota Youth Opera. Jesse Martins conducts.

Performance Dates: Nov. 15, 16, 2019

Anna Mandina and William Davenport star in Puccini’s “La Bohème” with Filippo Fontana, Young Bok Kim, and Jessica Sandidge filling out the cast. Victor DeRenzi conducts while Mark Freiman directs.

Performance Dates: Feb. 8-29, 2020 & March 3-21, 2020

Hanna Brammer and Andrew Surrena star as the title characters of Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette.” Anthony Barrese conducts a production by Martha Collins.

Performance Dates: Feb 15-28 & March 4-20, 2020

Donizetti’s “L’Elisir D’Amore” stars Adelaide Boedecker, Geoffrey Agpalo, John Viscardi, and Stefano de Peppo. John F. Spencer IV conducts while Marco Nisticò directs.

Performance Dates: Feb. 22-26 & March 1-21, 2020

The season ends with “La Wally.” Teresa Romano, Rafael Davila, Sean Anderson, and Jessica Sandidge star. Victor DeRenzi conducts a production by Stephanie Sundine.

Performance Dates: March 7-22, 2020
