Will Liverman to Premiere New Song Cycle at ‘Art Song to Aria’ Recital

On June 4, 2023, Rhode Island College will present “Art Song to Aria,” featuring baritone Will Liverman,

Liverman will perform works by Florence Prince and Margaret Bonds, an aria from his own new opera “The Factotum,” and the world premiere of “Where There’s a Will…” a new song cycle composed for Liverman by Dr. Judith Lynn Stillman, who will accompany him.

Since her appointment as Artist-in-Residence at Rhode Island College, Dr. Stillman has curated a number of events with local artists and beyond. She also serves as the Artistic Director for Judith Lynn Stillman & Friends from the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, and Artistic Director of the Masterworks Concerts series at the Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts.

The recital will be held in Sapinsley Hall at the Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts at Rhode Island College. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $10, and pre-registration required. Following the performance there will be a Meet the Artists reception with refreshments.
