Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition Announces 2024 Winners

The 2024 Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition has announced its winners. 

The first prize of £10,000 went to mezzo-soprano Anja Mittermüller and the second prize of £5,000 was awarded to tenor Santiago Sánchez.

The third prize of £2,500 went to baritone Jonathan Eyers, while the special prize went to mezzo-soprano Mathilde Ortscheidt.

Jong Sun Woo won the pianist prize of £5,000 and the Jean Meikle Prize for a duo of £5,000 went to Clara Barbier Serrano and Joanna Kacperek.

The Richard Tauber Prize for Best Interpretation of Schubert Lieder, which comes with £3,000 was awarded to Michael Ronan. Joël Terrin won the Vaughn Williams Song Prize for Best Interpretation of Songs in English by a British Composer. The award includes £2,000.

Finally, the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme Prize of £2,000  was awarded to Hanne Marit Mordal Iverse and Revaz Abrami.
